Groundbreaking Clinical Trial at UCSF Funded by NBTS
Together with other public and private funders, NBTS is supporting a collaborative clinical trial for the brain tumor SPORE (Specialized Program of Research Excellence). The trial will test the effectiveness of vaccine HSPCC-96 which has shown success in other tumor types and promises to be effective against Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). "It represents the opportunity to use the patient's own immune system to provoke a response and target the cancer cells," said Dr. Andrew Parsa. More
