Brain Tumor Awareness Month:
How to Take Action this May

We're only one week away from Brain Tumor Awareness Month! With members of our amazing brain tumor community, we'll kick off a month of awareness and action in Washington DC. Join us and over 8,000 others Sunday, May 5 at Freedom Plaza for the 2019 Race for Hope - DC. Stick around through Tuesday, May 7 for Head to the Hill and bring your story directly to Congress on Capitol Hill.

No matter where you are, there's so much you can do. Share your stories, sign up for a signature event, start a community event, and become an advocate. We'll provide information and tools throughout the month to raise awareness, funds, and resources to help advocate for the needs of the brain tumor community as a whole. With your voice, we'll achieve more - more research, more treatments, and more access to care. Together, we can make the changes that will bring tomorrow’s treatments closer to today.

NBTS Brain Tumor Clinical Trials Report Q1 2019

Brain tumor clinical trials open around the country all the time, and it can be hard for patients and care partners to keep track of the new opportunities available to consider potentially participating in as part of their treatment plan. This report provides a summary of clinical trials for primary brain tumor patients that have opened for enrollment in the U.S. since December 2018.

Celebrating the Volunteers who Drive our Mission Forward

National Brain Tumor Society celebrated National Volunteer Week during the week of April 7. We shared the volunteer profiles of five extraordinary people who have made selfless strides in moving our mission forward. Because of their support, we are able to fund research and provide resources for the 700,000 Americans living with a primary brain tumor.

2019 National Volunteer Week Profiles:

Giving your time, energy, and talent is one of the most important ways to join the fight against brain tumors. Without the partnership, passion, and dedication of our volunteers we would never be able to mobilize and unite our community, advocate for necessary changes, or create and deliver new and effective treatments for the patients and care partners who need them most.
