Registration Now Open for Head to the Hill 2020

Registration for Head to the Hill 2020 is now open! Your participation is critical to our efforts to improve conditions for brain tumor patients and their families.

Last year, over 350 volunteer advocates – patients, survivors, caregivers, family, friends, medical professionals, and researchers – from across the United States joined us at Head to the Hill to tell Congress what our community needs: more research, better treatments, and improved, comprehensive care from the first moment of diagnosis. Join us this year as we urge Congress to change the status quo by passing legislation that helps develop treatments and improves healthcare for brain tumor patients and their families.

NBTS & CERN Launch the Ependymoma Fund for Research and Education

The Collaborative Ependymoma Research Network (CERN) Foundation and NBTS recently announced a collaborative effort to raise financial support for ependymoma research and education. Statistically rare, ependymomas occur in both adults and children and, unfortunately, relatively few experts in the area of this brain and spine tumor type exist throughout the world.

Since 2006, CERN has provided support to ependymoma patients and families and has advanced ependymoma research. The new collaboration launches the Ependymoma Fund for Research and Education and encourages and enables those wishing to make a gift to support research efforts that continue in the tradition of CERN's strategic focus on translating basic science into clinical practice. Additional funds will support educational and patient outreach efforts, including awareness events and initiatives to increase patient enrollment in ependymoma clinical trials.
