Together, Our Fight Continues

Following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidance on limiting mass gatherings, the National Brain Tumor Society is moving all of our May signature events and meetings – including Head to the Hill – to virtual platforms. Note: These are not cancellations! Fundraising, advocacy, and community building are still underway, and NBTS events will continue to advance our critical mission throughout the spring season. Please visit our event websites to sign-up and learn more about how we’re planning to deliver a meaningful and engaging day-of event experience.

This public health crisis is a significant challenge, but the brain tumor community is no stranger to adversity. As we persevere through these tough times, we need to care for each other and to stay connected as a united brain tumor community and to our collective mission. Together, we can remain strong advocates, take action through upcoming virtual events, and connect with family and friends as one brain tumor community. COVID-19 will not stop us from our goal of conquering and curing brain tumors.

COVID-19: What the Brain Tumor Community Needs to Know

Two core values of NBTS are: “Patients First” and “Best-In-Class Service to Our Community.” As such, we are committed to providing helpful, timely, and reliable content to our community regarding COVID-19. NBTS has compiled information specifically for the brain tumor community to learn how to protect yourself and others and what resources are available for support.

Watch Now: Carolinas Brain Tumor Race Goes Virtual

Broadcasted live on Saturday, March 21, the first-ever NBTS virtual signature event – the Carolinas Brain Tumor Race – kicked off the 2020 event season with determination. Displaying a community heavily connected in a time of physical distancing, the program included heartfelt, inspiring stories from the Carolinas brain tumor community that brought us all closer together.

Join a Virtual Spring Event!

NBTS remains fiercely committed to delivering our mission to unrelentingly invest in, mobilize, and unite our community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers. We need your support more than ever, as we face some significant challenges to resourcing the kind of promising brain tumor research and advocacy that we know will lead to new treatments and better outcomes for patients and families. With your continued support, we can ensure that the urgent, unmet needs of the brain tumor community continue to be heard and addressed. No matter where you are, we hope you will join us this spring for one of our virtual events to honor, remember, and support all those that have been impacted by brain tumors while raising critical funds to conquer and cure brain tumors – once and for all.
