Progress that won’t slow,
Connections that won’t break

The COVID-19 pandemic is a significant challenge, but the brain tumor community is no stranger to adversity. As we persevere through these difficult times, we can remain committed to our collective mission, care for one another, and unite as a community that supports each other.

This May, during Brain Tumor Awareness Month, we invite you to join us for one or more of our regional virtual events, take action to advance our policy agenda with Congress through the first-ever virtual Head to the Hill advocacy day, or access any of our NBTS patient and care partner education and support services. We’ll also be offering a “DIY fundraising toolkit” so you can unite your local community for a virtual event of your choosing in support of our shared mission, all while staying safe, healthy, and following physical distancing guidelines. Stay tuned for more information on all the ways we can get together, support each other, and persevere through these challenging times while staying on track to meet our shared goal of curing brain tumors.

Less than one week until the first-ever virtual Head to the Hill

Join us and more than 500 volunteer brain tumor advocates – patients, survivors, caregivers, family, friends, medical professionals, and researchers – from across the country for our virtual Head to the Hill event. Share your story to let Congress know that the brain tumor community needs better treatments and a cure.

Register now.

Upcoming Regional Virtual Events

We often say that the National Brain Tumor Society is powered by people. This has never been more true than right now. Join us for an upcoming regional virtual event to honor, remember, and support all those that have been impacted by brain tumors while raising money to conquer and cure brain tumors once and for all.

NBTS remains fiercely committed to delivering our mission to unrelentingly invest in, mobilize, and unite our community to discover a cure, deliver effective treatments, and advocate for patients and caregivers. We are not going to let COVID-19 slow or stop us from carrying out our vital work in support of the brain tumor community.

Support NBTS on May 5 for Giving Tuesday Now

Over the past few weeks, NBTS has surged its patient support and navigational services and resources, and will continue to do so to help families find and access the treatment and care most appropriate for them. With your continued support during Giving Tuesday Now on May 5, we can ensure that the urgent, unmet needs of the brain tumor community continue to be heard and addressed.

Add Giving Tuesday Now to your calendar.

Introducing the NBTS Personalized Support and Navigation Program

The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) has created additional demand for direct patient services for brain tumor patients and care partners. Our new NBTS Personalized Support and Navigation Program – part of our larger NBTS patient and care partner education and support services, which also include our NBTS Clinical Trial Finder, Brain Tumor Experience, and virtual Brain Tumor Support Conversations – ensures patients and caregivers seeking support receive individualized attention, information, and navigation.

Take Action

Help Protect Brain Tumor Patients and Health Care Providers

The health and safety of the brain tumor community is our top priority. Take action now and join fellow advocates from NBTS and the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) in advocating for the safety and well-being of the brave health care workers on the front lines, and the brain tumor patients they treat, by urging the government to address the severe shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

If you also have time, please consider taking this survey being conducted by SNO and our friends at the International Brain Tumor Alliance on brain tumor patient care and COVID-19.
