Widely-Available Drug May Benefit Glioblastoma Treatment

National Brain Tumor Society-funded research by Dr. Paul Mischel of Stanford University points to the potential to repurpose Prozac to treat glioblastoma. His research found that Prozac targets tumor metabolism and inhibits epidermal growth factor (EGR) to trigger the killing of glioblastoma cells. Learn why the findings may offer hope for some glioblastoma patients.
