New Research Programs Beginning with its 2009 funding cycle, the National Brain Tumor Society advances brain tumor research through three distinct grant programs: Standard and Advanced Grants for basic and translational research; a new Innovation Grant for transformative and catalytic projects that fall within any stage of the research and development continuum; and a renewed commitment to the advancement of knowledge of pediatric brain tumors and its translation towards effective therapies with our Pediatric Research Grant Initiative. Hot Off the Presses In 2008, we invited brain tumor patients, survivors, and their loved ones to participate in a survey about coping with a brain tumor diagnosis.
