Race Day Activities

The Race for Hope - DC is so much more than a run/walk. Learn more about Race-day activities that memorialize our loved ones, honor survivors and healthcare professionals, and involve our children in our efforts to find a cure.

Survivors' Tribute
The Race for Hope - DC will pay tribute to the courage and determination of all brain tumor survivors at the start of the Race on Sunday, May 6. Please join the over 300 survivors at the Survivors' Tent on Freedom Plaza at 8:15 AM the morning of the Race. The survivors will walk together to the start line to officially begin the Race. Volunteers will guide you to an area a safe distance away from the competitive runners lined up at the start line. Your family, friends, and team members will be able to walk right up to where you will be standing and meet up with you. From there you and your group will be on your way.

We are looking forward to a terrific day and to seeing you at 8:15 AM at the Survivors' Tent!

Wall of Hope
Please visit our 24-foot Wall of Hope to view a touching tribute to brain tumor survivors and those who have lost their battle.

The Wall of Hope shows the faces of the Race for Hope - DC. Whether you are participating in celebration of a survivor or in memory of a friend or loved one, the Wall of Hope is an opportunity to recognize the people for whom you are doing the Race. The Wall of Hope will be raised on Freedom Plaza on Race day, and you are invited to contribute to this 24-foot long tribute to brain tumor survivors and those who lost their battles. The Wall of Hope is sponsored by Urban Country and the Roth family.
