In the United States, over 575 people are diagnosed with a brain tumor every day.
Brain tumors are an under-funded disease and the work of the National Brain Tumor Society is critical in meeting the needs of patients, caregivers, and researchers. We receive no financial assistance from state or federal agencies; all funds raised are from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Where your donations go:
- Research Funding: We invest wisely and strategically in innovative research that will lead to advances and ultimately a cure. We fund fully vetted, cutting-edge research to find new therapies, improve existing treatments, and enhance quality of life. In 2009 alone, NBTS granted $3.5 million to research.
- Patient Services Line: Through this toll-free information and support phone line, staffed by trained health information specialists, NBTS responds to over 1,000 phone and email inquiries for information and support each month.
- Outreach and Support Programs: These programs include informational Web/Teleconferences, peer support groups, treatment center information, Regional Conferences, local program information, and more.
- Advocacy: Through our advocacy program, we seek to create, influence and change policies and laws of critical importance to those affected by brain tumors.
National Brain Tumor Society and the community it serves are grateful for the support, time and effort of all those participating in and supporting the Brain Tumor Walks. Please know that you are making a difference!
