Team Maddox - Karen's crusade
I was diagnosed and had surgery for a brain tumor in the Fall of 2010. My brother-in-law had surgery for a brain tumor in the fall of 2011. Having two family members within one year to experience a brain tumor has made us very aware of the research that needs to be done in fighting against brain tumors. I am encouraged about the progress being made in the brain research field and am excited to have found a way to participate in this cause.
National Brain Tumor Society (NBTS) is putting the search for a cure into overdrive. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done. Please support my efforts!
I am putting together a team and participating in the Brain Tumor Walk in Ft. Worth on September 29th, 2012. This is a 5K walk - not a run, so no excuses!!!! Please consider joining my team even if you cannot actually walk with us on that day. Be a virtual team member for a great cause.
