Fundraising Honor Roll

No one expects this, and none of it is fair.

We can hypothesize why it happens. We can form our own opinions of why brain tumors have become much more prevalent since the '80s. Personally, the excessive gadgets we use (specifically cellphones) and the manipulation of substances in our diet (aspartame, etc.) seem to me to pose a potentially threatening match when you take into account timing and the entire record of research conducted on them, as well as the call for further studies concerning their safety. Does anyone need reminding that for decades the FDA and other responsible parties ignored the evidence against cigarettes because it was bad for business?

I know there are many variables, and pinpointing a singular cause is not possible in most cases. However, I will not trust blindly nor let the complexities be a barrier. Research can improve survival and quality of life. Perhaps most importantly, it can lead to prevention.

So much of me is still trying to will time to rewind and history to rewrite so that maybe we can do something to improve Dad's chances, but it's futile.

I suppose this organization is about creating chances. No, throwing money at problems does not automatically fix them. Neither does walking 3.10685596 miles with a whole bunch of people who are all wearing the same shirt. But DOING something is important to advancement. It is essential.

NBTS is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. NBTS aggressively drives strategic research; advocates for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and provides comprehensive patient, family, and caregiver resources.
