About the National Brain Tumor Society:

National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding better treatments, and ultimately a cure, for people living with a brain tumor today and anyone who will be diagnosed tomorrow. This means effecting change in the system at all levels.

We have a rigorous and thoughtful agenda, integrating research and public policy to bridge critical gaps. Starting with discovery science, to clinical trial design and the development of new therapies, there are many opportunities to make improvements and speed the momentum of new findings.

It’s time to build on progress and transform tomorrow, today.

On behalf of Ken Morse we are hosting a Family Fun Walk to raise funds for the National Brain Tumor Society. Ken is a loving and devoted husband and father. Just a few days before Christmas 2012 he went to the hospital to have what doctors thought was a cyst drained and removed. Much to everyone's surprise it was not a cyst but instead a cancerous tumor. Ken has undergone 2 surgeries at this point to have 2 shunts installed. Unfortunately due to the type and location of his tumor doctors cannot remove it. He has also undergone radiation treatment and is currently going through chemo. Thankfully he is doing well and feels good. Our family is hosting a 4-mile walk to help raise money and awareness of brain tumors. Please help us in our fundraising efforts. Also everyone is welcome to walk with us in support of Ken. The majority of our family, along with Ken are near Pittsburgh, PA. While a small part is in Virginia Beach, VA. Our walk will take place on August 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Twin Lakes park in Greensburg, PA and Mount Trashmore park in Virginia Beach, VA. If you would like to participate it the walk please email LeeAnn with the number of guest you will be bringing. We are also asking everyone to wear a gray t- shirt for a group picture. Although we maybe 400 miles apart we will walk together in Ken's honor. For more information regarding the PA walk please contact LeeAnn Morse at and for the VA walk please contact Amie Schake at

Additional information for PA walk

We are meeting at Pavilion #8 located near the end of the lower lake. Please rvsp with an estimated number of participants to Lee Ann and wear a gray t-shirt. Thank you!
