Welcome to My Personal Page
Three and a half years ago I lost my 6 year old daughter Tess to a brain tumor. She was diagnosed in January and passed away in August. I still remember the feeling in my stomach the moment that I was given the news. From there things got worse as we learned it was malignate and had spread. It was the worst nightmare a parent can imagine.
We focused on enjoying the time we had with our daughter and making sure that we supported our other 3 kids in the process. Unfortunately it was only 9 months later that she passed away. In that time we had a lot of great moments and I'm so appreciative of the time we were able to spend together. One of the things we did with Tess was walk amonst friends, family and co-workers in the Bay Area Brain Tumor walk, she loved seeing all the support she had. It was a great day for her and for finding a cure for brain cancer. It's tremendously underfunded and needs our help.
This year I am walking in memory of Tess and to help anyone else that is affected by this disease. The National Brain Tumor Society is making strides for a cure - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort and donate or walk with me. We need your help to prevent this from happening to others.
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
