Help me! I'm raising money for National Brain Tumor Society to support my MOM!
I didn't really know a lot about brain tumors until my beautiful Mom (Hi Mom!) was diagnosed in June of 2016 with Grade 4 Glioblastoma multiforme, which, sadly, is the deadliest of all brain tumors. Mom has had two surgerys and she is just about to start her second round of chemotherapy to slow down the tumor's growth. Sadly, there isn't a huge pool of funds being thrown towards brain tumor research because there are so many other higher profile cancers that get funded. The National Tumor Society is doing great work in understanding brain tumors, advocating for patients, working on new drug trials, funding and leading research, and so much more. I will NOT be walking on this day because I will be swimming 1.2 miles, biking 56 miles and running 13.1 miles at the Ironman Santa Rosa 70.3 instead. I will be wearing my Brain Cancer Awareness headband, bracelet, and will have a picture of Mom with me on this adventure. I would be honored if you could give a few bucks to this cause for the future of brain cancer patients! Peace and Love!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
