Malwarenauts for Marvin

Malwarenauts for Marvin is dedicated to a man that has shown strength, determination and positivity in a, to say the least, difficult time. Marvin embodies what it means to fight. By walking, donating, supporting you are helping to find a cure for our dear friend and family member.

Marvin's Story

On Marvin’s 32nd birthday, April 18, 2014, he went to the ER for changes in his health that he and his doctor couldn’t put their finger on. He was having ringing in his ears, vertigo, balance issues and other neurological changes. In the ER, his CT and MRI scans showed a 6cm mass in his right frontal lobe of his brain. He had surgery to remove the mass and have a biopsy taken 3 days later. He recovered well after this surgery. We hoped and prayed that the mass was benign, but found out a few weeks later that Marvin had a glioblastoma – a very aggressive form of stage 4 brain cancer with a median life expectancy of 32 to 36 weeks. Over the past 3 years, Marvin has been battling this cancer with western and alternative medicine. He has been through several surgeries to remove tumor regrowth and has participated in several clinical trials. He recently finished a round of radiation for his brain and his spine. He has surpassed what doctor’s had predicted and will continue to do so. Marvin is a warrior through and through – strong mind, strong body, strong will to live, and strong family/friend support. On April 18, Marvin turns 35 and will continue on with his war against cancer.
