Welcome to My Personal Page
24 years ago I listened to my doctor say something that didn't make sense...it couldn't make sense. I was in my 30's, raising my sons, coaching their soccer teams, refereeing games and running in triathlons. But there it was: "Bill; you have a brain tumor."
My doctor was wrong of course; but not like I wanted. I had three tumors. I went from the "old normal" of a full family life to chronic seisures where a friend drove me back and forth to work every day for 4 months and my famiily flew across the country to drive me to doctor appointments. That's when I found the Brain Tumor Society who helped me and my family work our way through the impact of diagnosis, treatment and my eventual recovery. So it was only natural that in 1998 when I saw their flyer for this BRAIN TUMOR RIDE that I had to go to Boston to ride! That was my first Brain Tumor Ride and 2018 will be my 21st, and I'm not done yet!
Funds raised here helps to direct promising research, support families who are currently coping with the effects of a brain tumor diagnosis, and advocate for change. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done. Please support my efforts!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
