Welcome to My Personal Page
I am fundraising again this year for the Boston Brain Tumor Bike Ride on May 21st for the National Brain Tumor Society. This is the 9th year of Sereno family participation in this event and we have raised over $160,000 so far, thanks to your help.
For me and our family, this cause is VERY personal. As you know, Brian was diagnosed with a brain tumor (GBM) in November 2008 and had a successful craniotomy. He completed radiation in January 2009 and finished his chemotherapy in July 2009. Thanks to a skilled surgeon, the Duke clinical trial, Brian's amazing attitude and determination, his wife's strength, and the love, support and prayers of family and friends, we believe he had a miraculous cure. He is a blessed 8+ year survivor in excellent condition. His annual check-up and MRI at Duke University Hospital will be in October again.
Last April, Brian successfully completed the 2016 Boston Marathon and raised over $7000 for the National Brain Tumor Society. He is an inspiration to those who continue to fight all forms of cancer.
His biggest source of pride are his sons, Brian Anthony Jr, who will turn 6 soon, Frankie, who is 3, and his 7 month old baby daughter, Irene. So Brian continues to enjoy every moment in life with Jessie and their adorable family.
Brian and our family have received your overwhelming prayers and good wishes for over eight years and we cannot thank you enough. We joined this movement to bring the issue of brain tumors to the forefront. Progress is being made, but there is so much more to be done. We would like to continue to help others who are still fighting this devastating disease. Funds raised here help to direct promising research and to advocate for change. So once again this year, I ask for your generous donation to this great cause.
Please continue to pray for a cure for all and please support my efforts!
My sincerest thanks,
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research; advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community; and providing comprehensive patient, family and caregiver resources. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
