Killin' It for JMK
The Boston Brain Tumor Ride is a cause that is near to my family's heart. For the past three years, my dad participated in this ride (all 62 miles!) and raised a truly amazing amount of money after his own encounter with a brain tumor. He rode for a cure, for better funding for research and public policy, and for all of those who are currently afflicted with or affected by brain tumors. In 2015, he spoke as a brain tumor survivor at the Boston Brain Tumor Ride, inspiring all with his story and kind words.
My dad, John Killion, passed away in December 2016, and his spirit, passion, and dedication to this cause has inspired both me and my family to create our own team for the Boston Brain Tumor Ride. We are participating this year (and every year moving forward) in honor of my dad because although he is not physically with us, we know that he will be with us in spirit and will cheer us on every step of the way. We are doing this to make him proud and because "living life fearlessly," with great passion, and with great love is what my dad always strived to do.
Please consider donating to this cause - and to our team - in honor of my dad, who was and will always be the best father, most compassionate individual, and fiercest advocate for brain tumors that the world has ever seen.
Much love always,
