Dear Friends and Family,
As many of you know, a year ago this May, I lost a dear college friend of mine, Alison McCarthy Lo, to brain cancer. In 2015, just five days after giving birth to her first and only child, Alison was diagnosed with the one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer. You can read more of her story below:
Alison fought ferociously and ultimately lost the battle to cancer a mere 18 months later. She passed away in May last year soon after her 38th birthday. This year, on May 12th, Alison’s actual birthday, a small group of her good friends and I will be celebrating her life and remembering her by participating in a walk for brain tumor research in Asbury Park, NJ, held by The National Brain Tumor Society. Please consider donating to this worthy cause and support the “Remembering Alison” Team.
National Brain Tumor Society will not rest until a cure exists - but more needs to be done. Please join in my effort!
National Brain Tumor Society is fiercely committed to finding a cure for brain tumors. They are aggressively driving strategic research and advocating for public policies that meet the critical needs of the brain tumor community. Your support ensures this important work will continue.
