Portland Brain Tumor Walk

Team Food Baby

Team Food Baby-"Just don't finish last!"

On March 8, 2016, Tom came down with an episode of vertigo at work. This turned into blessing in disguise as the emergency room visit resulted in an MRI. The MRI revealed a mass in his right frontal lobe. After surgical removal of the tumor in May 2016, we learned the bad news, that it was a Glioblastoma. Since the diagnosis, Tom has undergone a 6 week program of chemo and radiation and is now on a 28 day cycle of the chemo drug Temodar. He is also utilizing the Optune device by Novocure and adhering to the Ketogenic diet. So far we have not seen a recurrence. Tom returned to work full-time and his love of mountain biking and cyclocross racing in the fall of 2016. His determination to not be brought down by this diagnosis inspires us all. We couldn't have made it this far without the love and support of our amazing family and friends.

While all these treatments are helping, they are not a cure and that is why we walk. We will not stop until there is a cure. Will you join us?

For the low price of $25, you too can become a member of Team Food Baby if you join the walk as a participant. We also welcome all the donations we can get!
