Welcome to My Personal Page
Seven years ago, on April 19th, 2007, our father and grandfather, Bohdan Paczynski, passed away after fighting Glioblastoma Multiforme for three years. He was 67 years old. In many ways, he was very lucky - he had access to the best medical care and he had a family that had the time and the resources to search for cutting edge clinical trials. He also outlived his original diagnosis of three months. But he left us all too soon.
The fact remains that the prognosis for those aflicated with this disease remains grim and the disease itself devastates both the body and the mind. Progress in finding more effective ways of treating brain tumors have been made over the years but so much more remains to be done.
On May 4th,Bohdan's grandaughter Nell who is ten, wlll be running in Washington, DC for the third time in honor of be her grandfather. Even though she was just three when he died, he remains a huge presence in her life as he does in mine. Together we are running in his memory and hope that you will support us. Any contribution, however small, makes a difference.
We thank you for your support! Nell and Agnieszka
