Honor Sally's memory with me!
Hi again to all! Can't believe another year has passed and we are about to participate in the 8th Race for Hope in our quest to make a small difference for those fighting brain cancer. Time travels quickly and hard to imagine my mother has been gone over 8 years now. As my kids grow and hit new milestones, it is a bit more painful to know that she is missing out on her grandchildrens' lives and their accomplishments. We must rely on wonderful memories and faith. "Faith" - a necessity in this journey. Faith that she is watching over us and knows that we are keeping her memory alive. Faith that there is a plan and trust that she was needed in another place. She is our Angel and we speak of her often and often smile and laugh at the little things we remember.
As always, if you are able to support our team - Sally's Striders - in any way, we are so very grateful. If you are able to make a donation, our genuine thanks to you. If you are able to send a thought or prayer our way, we will feel your support and will share that. On May 4th our family will be on Freedom Plaza in Washington DC to be with survivors, families, friends and all who share in the battle. We welcome any and all support and we thank you for being there for us. It is a time to come together and remind each other to appreciate health, life and all of our blessings and to celebrate those who inspire us.
As you support us, please take a moment to remember not only my mom, but Michael Santo - loving father and husband and Dawn Re - loving sister, daughter, wife, mother and friend. They are at the forefront of my mind on that day and I share in their families' emotions. My friend, Pam - we will not forget your sister and all she brought to those around her.
Thank you for taking a few moments to read up on the Race for Hope. You are always free to join our team - we welcome new team members. I must send a grand thank you to my trusted team members who keep coming back every year to support me. I appreciate them and the time they take to be there. That, of course, includes my loving husband and our children who stand strong every year to be there.
Remember us on Sunday May 4th!! Much love and friendship to all my family and friends. I appreciate you all and hope this finds you and your loved ones well.
Take care and thanks to you all!!! Holly
