In Memory of My Mother
My mom, Mary Frances, died on April 16, 2006. She was 52 years old and had been fighting glioblastoma multiforme stage 4 for eight months. I can't help but think of all of the things I will miss her being present for- good things, bad things, major milestones and events. That is why I participate- so another child doesn't have to wonder what could be if her parent was alive.
I co-captain this team with one of my best friends who has had a different experience with brain tumors but shares the same heartache, confusion, and frustration.
Great strides are being made with generous donors such as yourselves. Your support gives us hope and brings us comfort and peace.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and support services for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
