As you know, we are now approaching the three year anniversary of our Father's diagnosis with one of the most aggressive types of brain tumor known --- a glioblastoma.
In memory of our Dad, Sandy has formed a team to participate in this year's 5K Run/Walk.
It's our hope that research will find better treatments for this horrible affliction and eventually a cure! The Race for Hope - DC is one of the largest fundraisers in the country benefiting the brain tumor community. Proceeds from the race support both the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.
Through generous gifts from individuals and company sponsorships, the Race for Hope - DC has raised more than $15 million.
Sandy's team will be joining thousands of runners and walkers supporting the brain tumor community on Sunday, May 6 to participate in the 15th Annual Race for Hope - DC at Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC.
Sandy's team is now accepting pledges through the following website:
To make a donation, please access the donation section of the website and search for either "Sandy Bandier" or "Ted's Trekkers for a Cure."
In addition, we'd like to thank you all so much for the support you have given our family --- especially in this past year that has been so difficult for all of us!
