My personal commitment to fighting brain cancer in memory of my husband Gary:
In the words of visionary Gary Keller of Keller Williams Realty, the company I work for, The Big Why is about having a purpose, a mission, or a need, that in turn gives you focus. In my life that big why has REALLY come in to full focus in this past year. Yes, my big why is raising my daughter but it is also to right a wrong. Its wrong that in 2013 there really is nothing to offer patients of Glioblastoma Multiforme that will eat away the cancer like it eats away the brains of its victims. I say this through a clenched jaw. If I don't live until the end of my days putting forth a good effort to fight this monster called brain cancer then I haven't made good use of my "-". (the dash on the headstone I just approved where it says the date I was born and is waiting for my date of death) My dash is all I actually know I have. However long or short that dash turns out to be. With that said, some part of every commission I make in my real estate position will go towards my Big Why to fund brain cancer research. I believe my passion will provide the fuel I need to power my actions to new levels. Levels I have never known. And off I go......
I begin with the Race for Hope
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors.
Please remember how underfunded brain cancer research is and how important your time and/or donation is in helping find a cure or at least a way to LIVE longer with a better quality of life.
From the words of Gary Cox "Let's turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones"
Thank you for your support in helping find a cure for brain tumors!
