Welcome to My Personal Page
Ray's Runners are running again and we will be in WASHINGTON, DC at the Race for Hope on Sunday, May 5, 2019. This will be our TWELFTH year!
We run in memory of Ray Donovan, who we lost to Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) on May 5, 2007, only 6 weeks after diagnosis.
We run in support of our friends and family who have lost their loved ones, colleagues and friends to this aggressive disease.
We run to raise awareness to a disease that has a very poor survival rate, [with standard treatment prognosis is 11-15 months].
We run to raise money to fund groundbreaking research across the world to fight GBM and extend survival length for those affected.
We run to provide support to patients and their caregivers and give them resources during a difficult time fighting the reality of a Grade IV brain tumor diagnosis.
We are an AWESOME TEAM and we look forward to coming together again in memory of Ray to help raise money for Brain Tumor Research. We have been able to raise almost $100,000 over the past 10 years which has gone to aid in research towards a cure for brain tumors and to assisting patients and families who are fighting this disease. Thanks to Kathleen, Maureen, and all of you, we hope to keep adding to this amount so that ultimately our world will be a world without brain tumors.
We look forward to spending the day with people we love, remembering Ray, who would have done anything for any of us. I hope you can join us to walk/run. If you can't be with us I know we'll have your support again in the many ways you have supported us all along!
