Race For Hope - DC

On December 22, 2008, my nephew, Brian Wathen was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called Medulloblastoma.  In May of 2009, we put together a team, Brian's Hunt for a Cure, made up of family and friends working together to raise money for the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. Brian is an avid hunter, so it is only seems appropriate that our team name be just that. He fought hard and has now been cancer free for four years.  Brian has shown us what true strength and courage really is all about.

This is our fifth year in helping to raise money for this very important cause.  We ask those in our community for help, so that no other child or adult has to endure this treatment.  All proceeds benefit the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.  Last year with your help our team walked the 5K in the Race for Hope- DC and raised over $15,000.
