Welcome to My Personal Page
In March of 2008, I was diagnosed with a neurocytoma in my lateral ventricle. Ten years, three surgeries and fractionated radiation later, I am running the Race for Hope for all of those people who are not as fortunate as me. The five year survival rate for glioblastoma multiforme, the most common type of brain cancer, is less than 20%, and these numbers have not changed significantly in the past 30 years. Nor have the treatment options; the four main chemotherapeutics have shown little improvement against GBMs.
I am running this race to support research combatting brain tumors and cancer, and for everyone who has been touched by this disease. Thank you for your support! Keep on keepin' on, that's all anyone can do!
