Pay it Forward
Our story: Ten years ago, our son Michael had a left temporal lobe tumor removed at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After two years of trying other forms of treatment, we chose this high-risk surgery because his quality of life was deteriorating, and we wanted to give Michael a chance at a full and normal life. The surgery was successful and now Michael is a wonderful, healthy 21 year old college student. As I write this, he is literally walking out the door for a twelve hour drive to Vermont for four days of snowboarding.
We were very fortunate. We have, over the years of hospital stays and oncologist visits, gotten to know families who lost their loved ones to brain tumors. We have tried to give back through our Boredom Busters work, and we think that has made life a tiny bit easier for thousands of children stuck in antiseptic hospital rooms up and down the East Coast. But the work done by Beth Ann and others who support the NBTS and ABCC efforts is funding research that will cure brain cancer. And that's a great cause we want to help. So please help by contributing anything you can. Together, we can make a huge difference.
