Dear Friends and Family,

Hello there! Hope you’re all doing well. Troy and I just got back a few days ago from our annual trip with friends to Las Vegas. While I still have memory issues and cannot recall many of the details, I do remember having a great time. I don’t take these occasions or my family and friends for granted. Every chance I get to enjoy life is evidence of all the great progress that continues to be made in the treatment of brain tumors – progress me, and others like me count on.

It has been nearly 8 years since I began living with a brain tumor. My last MRI was taken this past December, and as the doctor said, “I reviewed your scan and saw exactly what I wanted to see. Nothing!” Then we high-fived. We continue to follow up every 4 months just to make sure we’re on top of things should anything change.

There’s another annual event I always look forward to coming up on May 7th. It’s the 2017 Race for Hope – DC, a charity event that allows us to join forces in the fight against brain tumors by raising funds for research. Since 2009 I have sponsored a team in the event, and every year we’ve had great participation. We’ve also had an incredible following of family and friends who have made generous donations on my behalf. Last year’s rain didn’t stop us, and we plan to be there again this year. I hope you will consider joining us. If not, I hope you’ll consider contributing to this worthwhile cause.

Please forward to anyone you think may be interested. Thank you again for all of your support.

Love to all,

Lisa

The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and support services for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
