Welcome to My Personal Page
In December of 2010, the husband of Jennifer Pulos, one of my best friends since childhood, was first diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite a valiant fight while having sustained permanent blindness, Daniel Collis succumbed to Meningeal Cancer on November 22, 2011. He left behind a wife and two young children. In June 2010, my best friend Nancy Chang was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer that had spread to her brain and pelvic bone and prior to her passing, she develped a painful and debilitating spinal tumor. She died November 26th, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. Today, Jennifer, Dan's wife, is waging her own personal battle with cancer. As firsthand witness of the uncertainty, pain and helplessness in dealing with this disease, I'm glad to say there's still Hope. Race for Hope is an event that aids in the funding of brain cancer research. And if a cure is found for brain cancer, then maybe other cancers can benefit from their research.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
