I think my Dad lived his life by the motto: "Go big or go home". Everything he did in life was done to the fullest.  He couldn't just be brothers with my Uncle Bob, he had to be an identical twin with matching red hair and freckles. While he and my mom were dating, he convinced her to risk everything and join him in building a non profit from the bottom up, an organization that would be the first of its kind in Washington, DC and is still going strong (www.twc.edu). Then he and my mom threw a wedding that people still talk about 34ish years later - complete with skinny dipping guests! My dad couldn't just sing quietly at church, he had to belt out every song and was never in tune.  And he could do The Twist better than anyone else I've seen, except my mom of course.  When he was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003, he had to have the most aggressive type, in the worst stage.

My dad lost his battle with brain cancer in November 2004.  Almost exactly 6 years later, my cousin lost his battle with the same type of tumor in October 2010.
