Welcome to My Personal Page
On March 1, 2015 my husband Greg Milkovich passed away from Stage IV brain cancer. In the preceding 13 months after his diagnosis we faced a lot of challenges but througout the process we always remained hopeful and we certainly made the most of the little time we were given together. The proceeds from this race will offer hope to others and, hopefully, give them more time than I had with Greg. That is why I am proud to again join the team "Americans Running for a Canadian, a/k/a Team Greg" formed in 2014 by my lovely, generous twin sister. This is just another example of the amazing support we have received throughout this time! I know that May 7th will be a day filled with love, as we remember and honor my husband.
In addition to generous donations and participation in the Race for Hope, the team will co-host the 5th Annual Raise a Pint for Hope on Thursday April 19th from 6-9 PM at O'Sullivans in Arlington, VA. As always there will be lots of great prizes for auction and raffle, as well as happy hour specials. More details can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/ycbdncc4
We also hosted the very successful 3rd Annual Chili and Cocktails for a Cure at Boundary Stone, Public House of Note in Washington DC, on Saturday February 17, 2018, raising almost $7,000 and twice as much as last year! The big finale is the Race for Hope, taking place on May 6, 2018 on Freedom Plaza in DC!
I hope you will you support our team and the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure as we make strides for a cure!
