Help me help my teammate!
I am taking part in the Race for Hope - DC to support the fight against brain tumors. I am asking you to fight alongside me by making a donation to my team.
My friend, Cleveland Howard, is battling a brain tumor and he needs your help. I met Cleveland through hockey. He coached my youngest son on several teams. He helped turn Derek into an awesome defenseman and taught him to love the game as much as he does. More than that, Cleveland always serves as an incredible role model. He is always quick with a smile and joke. He also taught Derek to always stick up for his teammates. I was fortunate enough to get to play with Cleveland for a couple of years on the same adult hockey team. Even though I was not very good and Cleveland was a superstar by comparison, he would always encourage me and cheer me on. Well now it's my turn to cheer him on. Now it's my turn to stick up for my teammate. This is why your support would mean so very much to me and my teammate!
Race for Hope - DC supports the National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure in their quest to find a cure for brain tumors. I believe in their mission - won’t you join me?
There are 700,000 people in the US living with a brain tumor. This year 210,000 more will be diagnosed. I walk for all of these people, their caregivers, family and friends who have been or will be affected by their diagnosis. Please support my efforts and make a donation to this important cause.
It’s easy to make a gift online - or you can print off a donation form to send a gift by mail.
Thank you for your consideration - your gift means so much!
