I have decided to run in this race for my Bat Mitzvah. This is special to me because my grandfather passed away from brain cancer and my dad's grandfather also died from the disease. So as my bat mitzvah project I have decided to complete the race and raise money for a cure. My grandfather's name was Louis, and his nickname was Skip.

It is a challenge for me because I am not a talented runner at all. My parents taught me to do something even if you are bad at it just to prove you can do anything.

I am going to try to raise $10,000 to help find a cure for brain cancer.

Here is my challenge to you:

First, will you consider donating to this cause?

Second, for my friends who live in Washington DC, will you run with me?

Third, please pass this on to others.

Thank you!

Hannah Marchick
