Join me in supporting Chris Connelly's fight against brain cancer
Over the last year and a half, two of my dearest friends have been battling brain cancer as a family. Most of you have met my best friend Kristen, and many of you have heard their story. If you haven't, here it goes: a month before the birth of their son, Kristen's husband Chris was diagnosed with brain cancer.
While the Connellys are fortunate to have access to some of the best doctors in the country, much about Chris's specific type of tumor, anaplastic ependymoma, remains unknown.
This May, I am joining forces with as many friends, family, and colleagues as possible to raise money for brain cancer research so that Chris can continue to receive the most cutting edge treatment possible, and so that other families will not have to go through what they have. Please consider donating to this cause that is so near and dear to me. And if you are local, join us for a great day on the National Mall on May 6, at the Race for Hope 5K. Please register as a team member if you want to participate as a walker or a runner with the Connelly team.
