On June 25,2010 my father Bill Mooney lost his battle with Brain Cancer. He was an amazing father, husband, grandfather and friend. We miss him everyday and wish that there was a cure for this horrible disease.
His specific type of Brain cancer was a Glioblastoma, a relatively rare and very agressive type of cancer. He was diagnosed in January of 2010, went through surgery to remove the tumor, and endured chemo/radiation after that time. His battle ended just a short 6 months after diagnosis.
I started this team to honor his memory and to keep fighting for this cause.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
