Please join us or pledge support for a participant in this year's Race for Hope. We run and walk in memory of the inimitable Dave Jakhelln, who passed from this world in August 2007. His fight with brain cancer was brief but extremely courageous, speaking volumes about Dave's character and life philosophy.
This year is particularly meaningful to me. The 2014 Race for Hope will take place on May 4, 2007. As many of you may remember, early in the morning on May 4, 2007, is when we first learned Dave was ill. Seven years later, I will have just completed my last semester of law school. Dave is the person who first encouraged me to consider law school, and I know he would be proud.
If you want to participate in the race, please join our team. If you can't but want to support us, that would be fantastic. Soon I will circulate information about a team shirt for those who are interested in a shirt for race day or just because.
The Race for Hope raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
