Race for Hope - DC

Team Jake Turner

This will be our team's 5th year participating in this inspirational event. Jake was diagnosed with a ganglioglioma brain tumor when he was in 1st grade.  He had surgery in November 2008 which removed most of the tumor.  The piece of tumor that remained began to grow 3 years ago, and Jake had his second surgery on May 10, 2011.  At 12 years old he is tumor free:)  He continues to receive medical care through Children's National Medical Center. We are forever thankful that Jake will live a long and productive life.  Jake always has a positive attitude and a smile on his face.  Please join us in the fight against brain tumors.
