Race for Hope - DC

Team Debbie

Welcome to the Team Debbie Race for Hope page. We're participating in memory of Debra Levy, who lost her fight against brain cancer in 2012. After returning from a month long trip to Eastern Europe, she was diagnosed with an inoperable glioblastoma. Despite a strong fight and exploring treatment options, we lost Debbie just three months after her first symptoms.

Debbie was many things - a wife, a mother, a friend, and an entrepreneur. She was a hiker, an artist, a yogi and a traveler. She was caring, warm and adventurous. We participate in the Race for Hope to honor her memory and remember all of the lessons she taught us.

Please join us on April 7th from 5-8 at a happy hour fundraiser at the Passenger (1021 7th St NW). 10% of the bar proceeds will go to Team Debbie.

Last year, the Silver Spring Voice highlighted our team's efforts. Read the story http://bit.ly/10UYVNP.

The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
