Kim's Pitt Crew
Wow - this will be our 6th year participating in the race (which also means I have been living with a brain tumor for 6 years)! Please join us for the walk or by donating. As most of you know, I was diagnosed with a grade 2 oligodenglioma in March of 2008 after having a seizure.
It has been a year since I finished my 6 weeks of radiation and chemo. The tumor has remained stable! So it has been an uneventful brain tumor year. I am back to watch and wait getting Mri's every 4 months. Here's hoping for many more years of stable MRI's.
This year of no treatment has been great and again reminds me of how lucky I am. I am reminded every day of how precious life is and how precious and lucky I am to have each of you in my life. I am grateful for all the help, thoughs and prayers as always but this year I am grateful to have eveyone enjoying life with me.
We will do this walk again and ask for your support so one day nobody will ever have to deal with this.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
