Race for Hope - DC

Team Live-A-Little

July 2012 my life was forever changed.  That was when my dad was diagnosed with Glioblastoma.  I cannot begin to describe the amount of pain and heartache that my dad and my family endured over the 10 months from diagnosis til the end.  The loss and heartahce hasn't gone away, and I don't think it ever will.  The one thing that helps the pain is continuing to do what I can to work towards a cure so no other family or person has to endure this terrible disease!  My dad was a fighter and I know continues to be.  My dad also loved life, everything about it, from work to play.  He worked hard everyday, but he also played hard!  He would want all of us left behind to Live Life!!  Live-A-Little, that is going to be my motto as it was the name of his boat and is now the name of this team.  This 5K will be my first timed race, and I am so excited and proud to be doing it for such a good cause and in memory of my dad.  Thank you for joining me in remembering him and thank you for your support in helping find a cure for brain tumors and a hope for the future!

The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cassidy Turley raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors.
