In the summer of 2015, after having a partial seizure, Jeff was diagnosed with an oligodenroglioma--just one of many types of brain tumors that can change a person's life forever. He underwent surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy and has benefited from the care of wonderful medical professionals and the support of friends and family.
As we have learned, however, brain cancer remains a difficult disease to treat due to a lack of effective, existing treatment options. Despite some advancements in research over the years, many brain tumors are still incurable and lethal. So we are proud to start this team, the Hope Addicts, to help find a cure for brain tumors. This will be the first (of many) Race for Hope's that we will run (or walk). It is a fun event for a great cause so please join our team, or make a donation to our team or team members.
In the words of our friend John Petrovick, who himself courageously fought brain cancer, "inside all of us is hope." We will run the race in memory of John and his message of hope.
The Race for Hope - DC presented by Cushman & Wakefield raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
