Mommy MassKicker

This will be my 4th year participating in this Race, I get more excited every year!

5 years ago, I was told that I had a mass on my brain that was the cause of my white out headaches and nausea, and it needed to be removed. It was growing and my symptoms were getting worse. On May 2, 2012 I had a successful craniotomy performed by Dr. Olivi at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. From that point, life would get better each day. I consider myself LUCKY, my tumor was not cancerous. Although a 'Hemangioblastoma' sounds scary, it was completely removed and has not returned. I was out of work and off 'Mom-Duty' for 8 weeks. My 1 and a half year old Son had no idea why Mommy was in the hospital or why I couldn't lift him when I got home. He knows now. He understands now. My compassionate little 6 year old has walked with me for the last 3 years and loves getting his medal at the end of each race!

Each year, I create a tshirt on booster.com to raise money for my team, I hope you check it out!

I relaunched this year in celebration of my friend KT who is currently KICKING mass! <3

Even if you don't like my shirt, you can share it with your friends who aren't as stylish as you. :)
