Welcome to Team Victoria!
We are so glad you found us. We are here to celebrate a beautiful, vibrant, creative, wonderful young girl who has grade 1 Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytomas (JPA). Don’t let the big name intimidate you because they have not slowed her down one bit. She is a budding ballerina at the Virginia Ballet Company. She enjoys reading about colonial American history, horseback riding and spending time with her friends.
Team Victoria is celebrating our fifth year of fighting tumors. Diagnosed at age 7, Victoria has had a long journey and Race for Hope is an event that gives us an opportunity to publicly show her our love and support. The event is a family fun 5K walk/run in Washington DC on Sunday May 7, 2017. We mostly walk, laugh, share our support with others suffering brain tumor illnesses, survivors, and eventually sprint to the finish like children on a playground. All ages and capabilities are encouraged to join us. There is music, food (mostly ice cream!) at the finish, and lots of fun to be had by race participants or spectators.
If you are in the DC area, we would love for you to join us at the race, please register under 'Team Victoria'. Your registration fee helps fund life saving research on brain tumors.
If you are not in the area, but interested in doing a virtual 5k, you can register under 'Team Victoria' too. What is a virtual 5k you ask - it's when you register as an event participant and then walk/run the 5k where every you are.
If you would like to make a contribution to 'Team Victoria', just click on the 'Donate' button at the right side of the page and follow the instructions.
I thank you in advance for your contributions and support. Every little bit helps in the fight against brain tumor illnesses.
