For the 13th year, we will be walking in the Race for Hope in my dad's memory to fight the scourge of brain cancer and move closer to a cure. After receiving the worst possible diagnosis, my dad fought hard to beat the doctor's prognosis and outlived it by 2 months. He was the beneficiary of a cutting edge clinical trial at the time, the kind that is funded by donations to this very race. That extra medicine staved off the tumors long enough for him to have a decent quality of life and enjoy his grandchildren, including meeting two of the newest at the time, a little longer. We miss him every day and walk each year to remember that thousands of others are still in this fight.
If you or someone you know or love has been affected by brain cancer, please consider walking with us or donating to www.curebraintumors.org. Your donation will support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families.
Thank you for considering this important cause that is near and dear to our hearts.
