Hello family and friends! The Howie’s Homies team will be participating in the Race for Hope, DC again in May, this time in memory of our namesake Howie Howard, and as a way to show our ongoing support for the patients and families that are still battling brain tumors and cancer. The Race for Hope - DC raises money to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. In May 2014, just a few weeks after participating in this fundraiser, Howie was invited to attend a National Brain Tumor Society Open House, at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. He learned about their services and support groups that rely on events on events like Race for Hope and the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Howie’s daughter's are very interested in helping this cause so Howie's Homies will once again walk/run to help raise money for, and awareness about this important cause.
We hope that you will consider supporting our team or even participating on our team as a walker or runner. It is going to be a great event.
