Hello to all my loved ones, friends and colleagues,
As many of you know, our family has been fighting a battle with brain cancer for several years now. In 2011, my husband Terry, the father of our two daughters, was diagnosed with primary brain cancer. He's been through many different treatments over the past six years, and he is still fighting his battle today.
The Race for Hope DC raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. There are many new treatments and breakthroughs on the horizon, but funding is needed to make those possible. When someone you love is suffering from brain cancer, you always fear that those new treatments and breakthroughs will come too late.
The Race for Hope is an annual event on the Washington DC mall; we've participated in the race since Terry's diagnosis. The goal is to raise funds, but the walk/run itself it a huge morale boost to our family and to all who participate.
Please help us in our effort to save our own loved one, and those of many, many others who suffer and are often lost to this horrible disease.
Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors, Lisa
*We would love for you to join team Terry's Angels!
