2018 Race For Hope - DC

Team Buu

1 year ago on 3/29/15, our lives changed forever when my mom - only 62 years old with no health issues - was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer called Glioblastoma. Her tumor was more than an 1/8 of her brain and it was so centrally located that it was inoperable. She was given 3 months to live and she died on that day on 6/29/15.

This is this first time that we will be running in memory of someone so close to us and for a cause we never thought we would feel so strongly about. Glioblastoma is the deadliest type of brain cancer. It is very aggressive and its survival rates remain very low.

We're uniting with others to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors, especially against Glioblastoma so we can increase the survival rate and ultimately find a cure. We need your help! National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure are making strides for a cure - but more needs to be done. Please join in our effort and help us reach our goal for Team Buu!
