Friends of Fishman
A few weeks ago, I was lucky to meet the Roth family who started the Race for Hope almost 20 years ago. Their father/husband, Jeffrey, passed away from the same form of brain cancer I was diagnosed with four years ago. I'm also the same age as Jeffrey's twin daughters, so I immediately felt a kinship with them (beyond the usual small Jewish world stuff). Their efforts have contributed significant funding for research that I may benefit from some day.
Now, the Race for Hope has more than 5,000 participants. It raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting this great event and for supporting me through my cancer journey.
And if you're in DC, it's not too late to sign up for a Sunday morning run...
